Account Deletion Request
You can request the deletion of your account and the data associated with it by sending an email to [email protected] from the email address registered to your SalonGo account. If you signed in with Google, use the email address of the relevant Google account. Including your username and salon name in your request speeds up the process.
To verify that the request comes from the account holder, additional information may be requested for requests not sent from the registered address. Do not include your password or a verification code in your request.
Verified requests are completed within thirty days at the latest, and you will be informed of the outcome by email. You do not need to reinstall the application.
The buttons open a request draft in your email app. The request is submitted when you send the email; this page does not delete your account automatically.
[email protected]If You Have an Active Subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription. To stop further payments, cancel your subscription in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions before sending your request. For the steps, see Google Play subscription management.
Any remaining subscription period of a deleted account may not be transferable to another account. Refund requests are assessed under the Google Play refund policies.
Data That Is Deleted
When the account is deleted, the following data are permanently deleted from the server:
- Account information: Username, email address, salon name, password hash and the Sign in with Google link.
- Session and verification records: Sessions, device identifier, verification codes and email sending counters.
- Subscription record: The subscription and verification records on the SalonGo server.
- Cloud backup: The backup file and the information relating to it.
Consequences of deletion
A deleted account and cloud backup cannot be restored. If you need the records in your cloud backup, restore the backup to your phone before sending your request. Deleting the account does not delete your Google account.
Information Not Covered by Deletion
- Records on the phone: As customer, employee, appointment and cash records are stored on your phone, they are not deleted when the account is deleted. You can delete these records by clearing the application data under Settings > Apps > SalonGo > Storage on your phone, or by uninstalling the application.
- Device backups: Copies contained in Android system backups are managed through the settings of your phone and your Google account.
- Google records: Google Play purchase and payment records are retained by Google in accordance with its own policies.
- Messages sent: SMS and WhatsApp messages you have previously sent to your customers remain in the relevant services and on the recipients’ devices.
- Correspondence: Deletion requests and support correspondence may be retained for as long as necessary to prove that the request was fulfilled and for possible disputes.
- Legal obligations: Information that must be retained by law or that has been requested by competent authorities is retained for as long as the relevant obligation requires.
Deleting Specific Data
You can delete customer, employee, appointment and cash records individually within the application. If you want to keep your account and have only your cloud backup deleted, you can send a request to that effect to [email protected].
Important Notes
Signing out or uninstalling the application does not delete your account or your cloud backup. To have your account deleted, you must submit a request using the method described above.
Your Other Rights
Your other rights regarding your personal data and how to exercise them are described in the Privacy Policy.
