Account and Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your account and the data associated with it by sending an email to [email protected] from the email address registered to your Wordify account. If you signed in with Google, use the email address of the relevant Google account. Including your username in your request speeds up the process.

To verify that the request comes from the account holder, additional information may be requested for requests not sent from the registered address. Do not include your password in your request.

Verified requests are completed within thirty days at the latest, and you will be informed of the outcome by email. You do not need to reinstall the application.

Deleting your account also ends your premium entitlement, which cannot be transferred to another account. As premium is a one-time purchase, there is no subscription to cancel. Refund requests are assessed under the Google Play refund policies.

When the account is deleted, the following data are permanently deleted:

• Account information: Email address, password hash, username and the Sign in with Google link.
• Learning data: Word status, favourites, mistakes, test results, level progress and study streak.
• Word requests: Your requests and their status.
• Purchase records: The premium record on the Wordify servers.

• Added words: Words added to the word list following your request may remain in the word list without being associated with you.
• Google records: Google Play purchase and payment records and advertising data are retained by Google in accordance with its own policies.
• Information on the phone: Notification preferences and session information remain on your phone until the application is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
• Correspondence: Deletion requests and support correspondence may be retained for as long as necessary to prove that the request was fulfilled and for possible disputes.
• Legal obligations: Information that must be retained by law or that has been requested by competent authorities is retained for as long as the relevant obligation requires.

If you want specific data to be deleted without deleting your account, for example your word requests or your learning history, you can send a request to that effect to [email protected]. You can cancel pending word requests on the Kelime Talepleri (Word Requests) screen in the application; the application is available in Turkish.

Signing out or uninstalling the application does not delete your account or your data. To have your account deleted, you must submit a request using the method described above.
